Read the introduction of this economics paper. The writing is fantastic. Each paragraph has a clear purpose and makes its point right away. If you read just the first sentence of each paragraph, you get a paraphrased version of the abstract. If you don’t know anything about economics, you still know roughly what the paper is about.
